European Gaming League
Building a competitive gaming arena delivering tournaments for the home of european esports.
Launched in 2009 the European Gaming League is the longest running esports company in Europe, a team of gamers now working in the industry helping to build a new culture from the ground up, creating the ultimate esports arena where gamers can play. Across the past 8 years they have worked with global publishers and brands to manage white label events and campaigns for clients such as Konami, Activision, 2K and more.
European Gaming League came to us with their ambition to create an online arena for players to compete in leagues matched to their skill-level, and compete for their favourite titles across multiple platforms.
A large part of our early work was coming up with a new brand and to do that, we had to spend time defining what it is to be a gamer. We worked together to build a brand that embodies what gaming is all about; fearlessness, hunger, self-belief, attitude, skill and pride.
Working closely with their team, we launched the first iteration of their online platform focused on delivering weekly free-to-play tournaments across multiple titles.
We have since followed that up with the launch of a new version, introducing a new design focused on delivering a site that gave users the flexibility of competing via mobile with a fully responsive interface, along with new features such as leaderboards and the ability to find new players to compete with.
Something we are particularly excited by is the opportunity to expand their platform into new regions. In the last year, we have introduced their platform in partnering regions including the Middle East and most recently, South America.
Our partnership has flourished now for many years and we’re proud to have helped realise their vision for an online platform that offers free-to-enter competitive gaming across multiple titles and platforms. Our work has lead to successful partnerships between EGL and organisations such as the Halo Championship Series, Call of Duty: World League and Gears of War esports.
With the esports industry growing exponentially each year, the ambitions European Gaming League’s has for the future of their online platform is matched by our enthusiasm to build products that will continue to carry the industry forward.
